Zcash News: Zcash Whales Pull Over $90M ZEC From Binance

Zcash whales withdraw over $90M ZEC from Binance, signaling accumulation trends amid volatility and complex market dynamics.

Zcash whales triggered market attention after withdrawing over $90M worth of ZEC from Binance within 24 hours. On-chain information singled out deliberate and high-value outflows over retail-sized transfers. Accordingly, analysts straight away were measuring possible implications in terms of supply dynamics and near term price behaviour.

Whale Withdrawals Signal Accumulation Amid Volatile ZEC Conditions

Blockchain analytics firm Lookonchain first tipped off the activity, monitoring two structured withdrawals from Binance hot wallets. Wallet t1dHhe looked away 202,077 ZEC, worth $91.43M. Meanwhile, wallet t1Nt2i withdrew 4,257 ZEC worth about $ 1.93M. These transactions were those of planned movement of capital and not routine exchange activity.

Large exchange withdrawals are in many ways indicative of accumulation rather than immediate selling intentions. Typically, whales move assets to private or cold storage for longer term positioning. Therefore, reduced exchange supply can limit immediate sell side liquidity. As a result of such movements, there is a possibility that they contribute to upward pressure on prices under stable conditions of demand.

However, the ZEC market behavior is still complex even though there are accumulation signals. The asset had a severe correction after an avid rall during 2025. As a result, volatility still remains high as traders reassess their position. There are mixed signals in the on-chain indicators, between accumulation and distribution among large holders.

Other blockchain data previously showed a concentration of liquidity at $380-$400. Analysts labelled this zone a sell wall where large holders were selling off positions. Therefore, recent withdrawals are in contrast to previous distribution behavior. This divergence implies that responsiveness to change in market structure (and not directional conviction) is driving whales to rotate their strategies.

Market participants stressed that not all instances of whale behaviour mean that there will be bullish continuation. Instead, accumulation during corrections may be the result of portfolio rebalancing. Moreover, macro liquidity situations and more general crypto subdues are still heavily affecting ZEC price actions. Therefore, caution is still prevalent amongst the short-term traders.

Analysts Debate Zcash Supply Impact and Future Market Direction

Following the withdrawals, there has been increasing speculation about ZEC near term supply dynamics. Reduced exchange balances often lead to tight liquidity. Consequently, sudden spikes in demand may increase price movements. However, analysts caution that accumulation can’t be a standalone factor that can compel broader selling pressure during such times of risk-off.

Zcash previously had the benefit of privacy narrative momentum in its previous 2025 rally. That rally brought speculative as well as long-term capital. However, profit-taking was more intense at prices approaching higher resistance zones. Therefore, earlier whale exits in the year had a systematic distribution strategy behind them.

Current whale accumulation can reflect strategic repositioning, and not bullish sentiment. Analysts point out that huge holders have usually accumulated during weakness in preparation for later liquidity events. Meanwhile, data from derivatives implies cautious positioning by leveraged traders. Funding rates are still neutral, with uncertainty and not optimism.

From the structural perspective, there is no change in the mechanics of ZEC supply. No adjustments at the protocol level have, as of now, implications on the issuance or emission schedule. Therefore, exchange balance movements acquire a greater significance in short-term liquidity analysis. Reduced exchange supply could exacerbate volatility in times of news-driven flows.

In conclusion, the $90M ZEC withdrawal from Binance highlights the active whale involvement in an uncertain situation. While accumulation leads to a decrease in exchange supply, the wider market picture has a greater influence on price direction. Therefore, the short-term future of Zcash is relatively balanced between strategic accumulation and residual risk distribution.

SEC Backs Nasdaq, CBOE, NYSE Push to Simplify Crypto ETF Rules

SEC Backs Nasdaq, CBOE, NYSE Push to Simplify Crypto ETF Rules

The US SEC on Wednesday approved new listing rules for major exchanges, paving the way for a surge of crypto spot exchange-traded funds. On Wednesday, the regulator voted to let Nasdaq, Cboe BZX and NYSE Arca adopt generic listing standards for commodity-based trust shares. The decision clears the final hurdle for asset managers seeking to launch spot ETFs tied to cryptocurrencies beyond Bitcoin and Ether. In July, the SEC outlined how exchanges could bring new products to market under the framework. Asset managers and exchanges must now meet specific criteria, but will no longer need to undergo drawn-out case-by-case reviews. Solana And XRP Funds Seen to Be First In Line Under the new system, the time from filing to launch can shrink to as little as 75 days, compared with up to 240 days or more under the old rules. “This is the crypto ETP framework we’ve been waiting for,” Bloomberg research analyst James Seyffart said on X, predicting a wave of new products in the coming months. The first filings likely to benefit are those tracking Solana and XRP, both of which have sat in limbo for more than a year. SEC Chair Paul Atkins said the approval reflects a commitment to reduce barriers and foster innovation while maintaining investor protections. The move comes under the administration of President Donald Trump, which has signaled strong support for digital assets after years of hesitation during the Biden era. New Standards Replace Lengthy Reviews And Repeated Denials Until now, the commission reviewed each application separately, requiring one filing from the exchange and another from the asset manager. This dual process often dragged on for months and led to repeated denials. Even Bitcoin spot ETFs, finally approved in Jan. 2024, arrived only after years of resistance and a legal battle with Grayscale. According to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas, the streamlined rules could apply to any cryptocurrency with at least six months of futures trading on the Coinbase Derivatives Exchange. That means more than a dozen tokens may now qualify for listing, potentially unleashing a new wave of altcoin ETFs. SEC Clears Grayscale Large Cap Fund Tracking CoinDesk 5 Index The SEC also approved the Grayscale Digital Large Cap Fund, which tracks the CoinDesk 5 Index, including Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana and Cardano. Alongside this, it cleared the launch of options linked to the Cboe Bitcoin US ETF Index and its mini contract, broadening the set of crypto-linked derivatives on regulated US markets. Analysts say the shift shows how far US policy has moved. Where once regulators resisted digital assets, the latest changes show a growing willingness to bring them into the mainstream financial system under established safeguards

Bank of Canada cuts rate to 2.5% as tariffs and weak hiring hit economy

The Bank of Canada lowered its overnight rate to 2.5% on Wednesday, responding to mounting economic damage from US tariffs and a slowdown in hiring. The quarter-point cut was the first since March and met predictions from markets and economists. Governor Tiff Macklem, speaking in Ottawa, said the decision was unanimous. “With a weaker economy […]
