Xtra Unveils “Xtra Atto”: The Ultimate Wearable 4K Action Camera for Hands-Free Creation

Xtra, a rising innovator in imaging technology, today announces the upcoming launch of the Xtra Atto, a featherlight wearable 4K action camera designed to redefine hands-free content creation.

With the growing trend of documenting travel, daily routines, and behind-the-scenes workflows, creators are increasingly seeking ultra-compact cameras that enable true hands-free operation. Xtra is entering this space with the Atto, prioritizing portability, stabilization, and a streamlined capture-to-publish workflow.

Xtra Unveils “Xtra Atto”: The Ultimate Wearable 4K Action Camera for Hands-Free Creation

Weighing just 54 grams, the camera is engineered to secure unique vantage points that are difficult to achieve with traditional handheld setups. Its lightweight form factor makes it well suited for POV camera shots, making it the perfect vlog camera for candid lifestyle content.

High-Quality Imaging in an Ultra-Compact Body

Despite being a powerful mini camera, Xtra ATTO is built with imaging performance in mind. The camera features a 1/1.3-inch image sensor—delivering image quality on par with flagship action cameras.

  • 4K High-Speed Recording: Supports video capture at up to 4K 60fps, enabling smooth motion playback while maintaining image detail.
  • Live Photo & Consistent Context: Capture vibrant “Live Photos” ready for social posting, and preserve clarity across everyday shooting environments.

Lightweight, Hands-Free, and Waterproof

A key feature of the Xtra ATTO is its modular design. The compact camera unit can be mounted in multiple positions and is waterproof up to 10 meters (33ft) without a case.

  • MotionMaster Stabilization: Take on the trails with confidence. MotionMaster smooths out intense shakes and vibrations, delivering fluid, clean footage even on bumpy terrain.
  • TiltGuard Horizon Leveling: Camera swaying side-to-side? TiltGuard automatically corrects unwanted tilting. It keeps your horizon straight and balanced, ensuring your shot stays level even when the road isn’t.
  • Intuitive Control: New hands-free gestures like “Nod to Record” or a gentle “Pat Recording” allow creators to start capturing without ever touching a button.

Modular Power with Multifunctional Vision Dock

To balance compact size with recording endurance, Xtra Atto utilizes a dual-system approach:

  • Extended Endurance: The standalone camera provides 90 minutes of recording. When paired with the Multifunctional Vision Dock, total runtime extends to 220 minutes. The system supports fast charging, reaching 100% in just 40-50 minutes.
  • All-in-One Hub: The Vision Dock functions as a remote, a charger, and a preview monitor with a 1.96-inch touchscreen. When connected, the system achieves IPX4 splash resistance.

Streamlined Workflow: From Shoot to Share

  • Hybrid Storage: Features 128GB of internal storage for instant use, plus a microSD card slot on the Vision Dock (up to 1TB) for massive expansion.
  • Lightning-Fast Transfer: Supports USB 3.1 high-speed export at up to 600 MB/s (transfer full footage in ~3 mins) and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity for seamless mobile editing.
  • Pre-Recording: Retroactively captures up to 5 minutes of footage before you hit record, ensuring you never miss a moment.

The Xtra Atto is launching on January 29, 2026, with a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $299 USD. It will be available for purchase via Amazon and the Xtra Official Website.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
