Pi Network launches Algorithm Detection using AI and cryptography to track Pi coin origins and improve transparency in its Web3 ecosystem.

Pi Network has introduced a new system called Algorithm Detection to improve transparency across its ecosystem.

The update uses artificial intelligence and cryptographic analysis to track the origin of Pi coins.

The move comes as blockchain platforms focus more on clear data and user trust, under the announcement titled “Pi Network Introduces Algorithm Detection to Enhance Transparency and Trust in Web3 Ecosystem.”

New system tracks origin of Pi coins

Pi Network confirmed that Algorithm Detection can identify how each Pi coin is generated.

The system classifies coins based on activities such as mining, referrals, and node participation. This creates a structured record of asset origins within the network.

Users can now review how their Pi holdings were earned through different activities. This removes confusion and provides clear data about distribution. The system works automatically, so users do not need to track transactions manually.

Blockchain tracking has often lacked clear origin data across many networks.

Pi Network approach combines activity records with transaction history. This allows consistent labeling of each unit of Pi within the ecosystem.

AI and cryptography power the detection process

The system relies on artificial intelligence to monitor activity patterns across the platform.

It also uses cryptographic analysis to verify and label each transaction. These processes run together to maintain accuracy.

The system evaluates each Pi coin based on its full transaction history. It separates coins earned through mining from referral rewards and node activity.

This structure allows better tracking of how value moves within the network.

Pi Network stated that the system runs continuously and updates in real time. “The system automatically identifies and categorizes the origins of Pi,” the update noted.

This reduces the need for third-party verification tools.

Focus on transparency and network security

The Algorithm Detection system also supports improved network security.

By tracing coin origins, unusual or irregular patterns can be detected faster. This helps identify potential risks within the ecosystem.

The added tracking layer becomes more important as the network expands.

Clear transaction data can limit misuse and support internal monitoring. It also provides users with better visibility into their activity.

Pi Network stated that transparency remains central to its development plans.

The system provides clear and verifiable data about participation and rewards. This may support continued growth as users look for reliable Web3 platforms.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
