Cwallet, a multi-functional wallet that provides centralized and decentralized functions under one app, announced a strategic partnership with WINKLink, a decentralized oracle network that connects real-world data to various blockchains. Through this collaboration, Cwallet integrated WINKLink’s decentralized oracle mechanism into its multi-chain crypto wallet ecosystem to enable its blockchain network to run a reliable, high-performance data infrastructure across Web3.

Cwallet is a multi-functional crypto wallet that provides both custodial and self-custodial wallets connected with decentralized and centralized functions. As a cross-chain wallet, Cwallet allows users to manage, trade, and swap several crypto assets across multiple blockchains. Also, Cwallet’s toolset provides a wide variety of utilities that crypto users need, from simple purchasing, selling, staking to cross-chain application services.

Given extreme volatility and sudden liquidation events in the crypto landscape, Cwallet understands the crucial role that a low-latency, powerful, and high-performance data oracle service plays in the rapidly growing blockchain products. Blockchain networks require access to real-world data to enable execution of smart contract functions and support decentralized applications, such as crypto transactions and many others.

The integration of WINKLink’s oracle solution into the crypto wallet network brings trusted and accurate on-chain market data to Cwallet users across the world. WINKLink, a decentralized oracle network built on the TRON blockchain, is one of the top oracle networks that provides stable and reliable on-chain data to various DeFi ecosystems. Using its rigorous security standards and multi-level decentralization, WINKLink pulls data from diverse real-world resources. WINKLink utilizes an on- and off-chain architecture that resolves the oracle problem being experienced in the blockchain industry today.

Accuracy of data is crucial to crypto wallets and DeFi utilities. By incorporating data from WINKLink’s decentralized oracle network, Cwallet enhances product offerings to its users with reliable on- and off-chain blockchain data in real time. In this partnership, WINKLink functions as an aggregator oracle, providing Cwallet with data complementary to its crypto wallet ecosystem.

By integrating WINKLink’s powerful data infrastructure with real-time on-chain authentication on Cwallet’s systems, WINKLink fuels a new wave of scalable and secure DApps on Cwallet’s ecosystem. The partnership highlights Cwallet’s and WINKLink’s shared commitment to enabling accessible, trustworthy, and user-friendly infrastructure for advanced decentralized applications.

Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future

The post Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. “It’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress,” writes Pipes. Getty Images Washington is addicted to taxing success. Now, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is floating a plan to skim half the patent earnings from inventions developed at universities with federal funding. It’s being sold as a way to shore up programs like Social Security. In reality, it’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress. Yes, taxpayer dollars support early-stage research. But the real payoff comes later—in the jobs created, cures discovered, and industries launched when universities and private industry turn those discoveries into real products. By comparison, the sums at stake in patent licensing are trivial. Universities collectively earn only about $3.6 billion annually in patent income—less than the federal government spends on Social Security in a single day. Even confiscating half would barely register against a $6 trillion federal budget. And yet the damage from such a policy would be anything but trivial. The true return on taxpayer investment isn’t in licensing checks sent to Washington, but in the downstream economic activity that federally supported research unleashes. Thanks to the bipartisan Bayh-Dole Act of 1980, universities and private industry have powerful incentives to translate early-stage discoveries into real-world products. Before Bayh-Dole, the government hoarded patents from federally funded research, and fewer than 5% were ever licensed. Once universities could own and license their own inventions, innovation exploded. The result has been one of the best returns on investment in government history. Since 1996, university research has added nearly $2 trillion to U.S. industrial output, supported 6.5 million jobs, and launched more than 19,000 startups. Those companies pay…
