London Court Sentences Ex-Pump.fun Employee to 6 Years for Fraud Tied to $2 Million in Solana (SOL) Transfers

According to Decrypt’s report relayed by COINOTAG News on December 18, a Canadian national, Jarett Dunn, received a six-year sentence from a London court after pleading guilty to two counts of abusing his position to commit fraud and transferring criminal proceeds tied to his tenure at Pump.fun. The court noted Dunn had already been under electronic monitoring for 308 days, with 154 days credited toward the term, and that he spent about five months in pre-trial detention, which usually reduces the final sentence.

Separately, the same report links the case to a crypto governance issue more than a year ago, when Dunn moved roughly $2 million worth of Solana (SOL) from Pump.fun. The event underscores governance and compliance risks in platform operations and highlights the need for robust controls in digital-asset businesses to deter misappropriation and protect investors.
