Republic Europe launched a new investment vehicle in January 2026, granting European retail investors indirect equity access to Kraken ahead of its anticipated 2026 IPO.

This move democratizes access to significant financial opportunities typically reserved for institutional investors, potentially altering the landscape of retail investments in the crypto sector.

Republic Europe has launched a Special Purpose Vehicle in January 2026 for retail investors in Europe to gain indirect equity access to Kraken ahead of its expected IPO.

The initiative offers public access to potential wealth from private markets and may influence future investment strategies in the crypto sector.

Republic Europe Opens Retail Access to Kraken Equity

Republic Europe, a regulated investment platform, has opened opportunities for European retail investors via a Special Purpose Vehicle. This enables indirect access to upcoming Kraken equity offerings ahead of its 2026 IPO.

Kraken, a U.S.-based crypto exchange, anticipates a 2026 IPO following its SEC filing in November 2025. This move, led by Republic Europe, highlights efforts to open private markets to retail investors.

Potential Disruption in Investment Access

The move may disrupt traditional market barriers by providing retail investors access previously reserved for institutions. This initiative could alter investment trends in the crypto sector.

While directly impacting private equity, no subsequent changes to major cryptocurrencies or on-chain assets have been noted. The financial industry might observe shifts in private equity participation models.

SPVs Revolutionizing European Retail Investment

Similar Special Purpose Vehicles have pooled capital historically for elite investors. This initiative, however, brings unprecedented accessibility to retail investors in Europe within the crypto space.

Market analysts suggest potential increase in retail participation in the crypto sector. Historical performance of such initiatives could guide expectations around the Kraken IPO’s broader impact.

New Zealand Dollar declines to near 0.5650 as dovish RBNZ overshadows US tariff relief

The post New Zealand Dollar declines to near 0.5650 as dovish RBNZ overshadows US tariff relief appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The NZD/USD pair drifts lower to around 0.5655 during the Asian trading hours on Tuesday. The New Zealand Dollar (NZD) softens against the US Dollar (USD) amid an imminent rate cut from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ). Traders await the release of the US September Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) report later on Thursday.  The RBNZ cut the Official Cash Rate (OCR) to 2.5% at its October meeting after a larger-than-expected 0.9% contraction in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the second quarter of 2025. A further reduction of 25 basis points (bps) to 2.25% is widely anticipated at the next meeting on November 26, 2025. The RBNZ has already delivered a series of rate cuts throughout 2025 in an attempt to stimulate a struggling economy.  The prospect of the RBNZ’s aggressive rate-cutting policy overshadowed the US decision to roll back tariffs on Kiwi exports. This, in turn, could exert some selling pressure on the NZD and acts as a tailwind for the pair. In the near term Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump lifted tariffs on more than 200 food products in response to rising US grocery prices. On Sunday, New Zealand welcomed the announcement that it would remove additional tariffs on a range of New Zealand agricultural products, including beef, offal, and kiwi fruit.  Trump removed tariffs on New Zealand exports on more than 200 food products, including beef, amid consumer concerns about rising US grocery prices.
