According to him, agents can change their own system prompt, add communication channels, or execute code without asking the user. Vitalik added that malicious websites or inputs can hijack the entire agent.

Based on these limitations, Vitalik Buterin fears AI is about to reverse progress by making it normal to feed entire digital life into cloud models. Therefore, he is advocating for an AI system that prioritizes privacy, security, and self-sovereignty as absolute requirements, not nice-to-haves.

The Ethereum founder recommends certain hardware and some privacy and security goals he has adopted. For hardware, Vitalik shares real performance numbers for the Queen 3.5-35B model and the larger 122B version.

As per the latest Ethereum news, Vitalik Buterin runs almost all LLM/agent activity within bubblewrap sandboxes to add an extra layer of security. Each sandbox is rooted in a specific directory and can only see whitelisted files. He mentioned tools like Hermes as a useful supplement, but sandboxing and mandatory human confirmation for dangerous actions are still essential.

In addition, Santiment recorded over 255,000 new addresses created on the network in a day. New addresses often come from people onboarding for the first time or from users creating fresh wallets for privacy.

High new-address creation suggests the network is attracting fresh capital and participants rather than just recycling the same old users. In the crypto market, metrics like wallet addresses are watched because sustained high activity often supports price rallies.

The latest Ethereum news shows that ETH price is still volatile. It is currently trading at $2,037. In the past 24 hours, the ETH price dropped 4.2%, while trading volume decreased to $20.8 billion.
